			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>This is simple and great information to know.  In case you are ever in a situation where you think someone might have suffered a stroke, learn this info &#8211; you could save a life!</p>
<p><strong>STROKE IDENTIFICATION:</strong><br />
<strong>During a BBQ, a friend stumbled and took a little fall &#8211; she assured everyone that she was fine (they offered to call paramedics) and just tripped over a brick because of her new shoes. They got her cleaned up and got her a new plate of food &#8211; while she appeared a bit shaken up, Ingrid went about enjoying herself the rest of the evening. Ingrid&#8217;s husband called later telling everyone that his wife had been taken to the hospital &#8211; (at 6:00pm, Ingrid passed away.) She had suffered a stroke at the BBQ. Had they known how to identify the signs of a stroke, perhaps Ingrid would be with us today. Some don&#8217;t die. They end up in a helplessknown helpless, hopeless condition instead.</strong></p>
<p><strong>It only takes a minute to read this&#8230;<br />
A neurologist says that if he can get to a stroke victim within 3 hours he can totally reverse the effects of a stroke&#8230;totally. He said the trick was getting a stroke recognized, diagnosed, and then getting the patient medically cared for within 3 hours, which is tough.</strong></p>
<h2>RECOGNIZING A STROKE</h2>
<p><strong><em>Thank God for the sense to remember S . .T . . .R . Read and Learn!</em></strong></p>
<p><strong>Sometimes symptoms of a stroke are difficult to identify. Unfortunately, the lack of awareness spells disaster. The stroke victim may suffer severe brain damage when people nearby fail to recognize the symptoms of a stroke.</strong></p>
<p><strong>Now doctors say a bystander can recognize a stroke by asking three simple questions:</strong></p>
<blockquote dir="ltr"><p><strong>S *</strong> <strong>Ask the individual to SMILE.<br />
T * Ask the person to TALK, to SPEAK A SIMPLE SENTENCE (Coherently)<br />
(i.e. . .. &#8220;It is sunny out today&#8221;)<br />
R * Ask him or her to RAISE BOTH ARMS.</strong></p>
<p><strong>NOTE:</strong> <strong>Another &#8216;sign&#8217; of a stroke is this: Ask the person to &#8216;stick&#8217; out their tongue. If the tongue is &#8216;crooked&#8217;, if it goes to one side or the other that is also an indication of a stroke. If he or she has trouble with ANY ONE of these tasks, call 911 immediately !! and describe the symptoms to the dispatcher.</strong></p>
<p><strong>A cardiologist says if everyone who gets this e-mail sends it to 10 people; you can bet that at least one life will be saved.</strong></p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Yes, I meant to write it that way.  You can&#8217;t read everything you believe.  What does that mean?</p>
<p>Well, one year just came to a close, and another has just begun.  It is time for renewed hope; a fresh start and reflection.</p>
<p>But how do you really get a fresh start; or how do you really make this year the best (either continuing or building off the success/ challenges of the last year?)</p>
<p>First, it is vital to understand that everything you have done, over the past year, has been an opportunity for growth.  Whether plans turned out as you wanted or not, we need to decide what we can learn from them to &#8216;do it better&#8217; next time around.  This is where most people stumble.  They think, &#8220;this time I will try harder!&#8221;</p>
<p>Sound familiar?  We all do it.  Or did!  Right?</p>
<p>Take some time over the next couple days and reflect on the journey you just finished.  I know it&#8217;s not popular to sit down do work on yourself and where would you find the time, right?  Well, it&#8217;s not popular to be miserable or to keep running into the same pitfalls as before; so take my advise and even though it is a little clunky at first, devote at least one hour to looking back at 201o and seeing how the landscape was laid out.</p>
<p>You will thank me later!</p>
<p>Now, once you have consciously reviewed the steps you took over the past year.  Find what you want to do differently this time.  And ask yourself, &#8220;what did I learn from the last experience, so I can continue to improve my results?&#8221;  It&#8217;s important to not beat yourself up or judge what you did, just always look for a way to make it easier and more productive the next time.  Once you have done something, you should be able to do it again, but more efficiently.  That is the key.</p>
<p>*NOTE &#8211; this is where most people quit.  They will not really put effort into thinking about what they did or they will believe that they already have it figured out.  But I challenge you to think back over the past 3 years and see how many times, you did the same thing and asked yourself, &#8220;why does this keep happening to me?&#8221;  Make this year; today the day that changes for good.</p>
<p>Ok, so you have a list of things you want to improve or challenge yourself to do even better, so make a plan.</p>
<p>You would be amazed at how many people will go through their days and life without creating a plan for where or how they will get there.  YOU HAVE TO HAVE A PLAN!  It doesn&#8217;t have to be heavy lifting.  But you need to be clear on what you want; where you are now; what you need to get there; and what might stop you (so you can begin to build the resources to overcome them)  That&#8217;s it.  When you simply follow these steps, you will see tremendous improvements in your results.  I guarantee it.</p>
<p>Alright, so you have:<br />
1. Taken time to reflect positively on your year</p>
<p>2. Reviewed your behaviors and results to see areas for change</p>
<p>3. Created a simple plan</p>
<p>the last step, step number 4 is to &#8216;Take Action&#8217;</p>
<p>You have to work the plan.  And that brings me to our title &#8216;you can&#8217;t read everything you believe.&#8217;  What I mean is, while you must educate yourself by reading and modeling the success of others and yourself, you have to take risks!</p>
<p>Let me say that again&#8230;.&#8217;You have to take risks!&#8217;</p>
<p>Not everything you read will be how you think, or how you want to do it, or how you should do it.  The information you find has all been created from people getting out there and learning, taking risks every day.</p>
<p>When you have done the prep work (listed in step 1 &#8211; 3 above) you will know what you need to do, to make your life work for you.  Believe in yourself.</p>
<p>Your level of belief in your abilities is directly related to the results you will produce!!!</p>
<p>I have always lived by the motto that,&#8217;In order to be extraordinary, I must do extraordinary things.&#8217;</p>
<p>Start by dipping your toe into hobby you have been wanting to do but never made the time for; or reaching out to that person you have been afraid of speaking to.  Whatever it is, do it!  And regardless of the result, learn from it and keep going!</p>
<p>I hope this helps you to create a truly successful 2011.  I know, for those of you who follow these steps and use what I have shared here, you will enjoy a new outlook on life.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>We have all heard the saying that, &#8220;there is no &#8216;I&#8217; in team.&#8221;  But do you really believe that???</p>
<p>When you have a problem, how long does it take for you to reach out and ask someone for help?  and do you fully trust them?</p>
<p>There have been numerous studies done by Harvard and Yale that show that most people don&#8217;t feel that they can ask their peers for help because they don&#8217;t trust they can do the job OR they are too ashamed to admit their is something wrong.</p>
<p>Interesting enough, there are also many studies that prove that the shame we feel from the problems asking for help is not as powerful as the shame of having to deal with the problem.</p>
<p>So there is a disconnect; a thinking that creates a conflict in which instead of focusing on a solution, we bounce back and forth between unhealthy emotional states that leave us &#8216;help&#8217;less.</p>
<p>For example: if you have been laid off from your job and you are ashamed at the fact of being unemployed it is no fun.  But, is it worse to live in fear of where your next meal will come from or how to take care of your family OR is it worse to admit you need help; reach out to a friend and resolve the issue.</p>
<p>Too much Ego can be destructive.</p>
<p>Fact: The quicker you can take action, any action towards changing the problem, you will begin to see results.  You will know what you can and can&#8217;t do &amp; will find clarity.</p>
<p>Now, in reverse, you may be the person who can help others.  Are you making yourself available?  Do you make an effort to support your friends and family in need?  Now, I want you to understand, I am in no way saying that you need to become a bank or the Red Cross to everyone you know but when someone reaches out a hand to you, make an informed decision/ a conscious choice about how you react because you never know when it might be you!</p>
<p>The past two years has really shown that to be true.</p>
<p>So, ask yourself, do you trust others?  Do you support others?  Do you have a team that encourages and roots you on?</p>
<p>If not, start building one, because you will find it much easier to rise to the top and it will be a lot more fun!!</p>

		<description><![CDATA[Learning to 'be yourself' can be the key to feeling better now and getting out of the funk!]]></description>
			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Over the past year, I have been through an amazing amount of change.  All of it (from my perspective) was good and clarifying.</p>
<p>I have moved; built another business; worked with numerous companies and clients; gotten into some sticky situations &amp; helped some people out of worse ones.  It is always interesting to me to take a moment and realize how much we can do when we go for it.  And also how, no matter what you know, you are going to deal with life.  Things will come at you and you have to be ready.</p>
<p>I coach people everyday to live their passions and to be consciously aware of when they need to change; when the results are what you&#8217;d like.  And it isn&#8217;t easy.  And you aren&#8217;t alone.</p>
<p>Myself, I was just laughing this past weekend looking back, reflecting and realizing that I had stopped doing some of the things/ behaviors or habits that always produced success for me.  And I mean quite a few.</p>
<p>And all of a sudden, my body said, &#8220;wait a minute&#8230;why aren&#8217;t we doing that anymore?&#8221;  and I looked at where I am and where I wanted to be and I started tracing my steps.  I sat down and looked at what &#8216;used to&#8217; work and maybe what new behavior I was doing that wasn&#8217;t up to par yet.  And I have started the process of changing them.</p>
<p>I am not saying I snapped my fingers and the world shifted.  But, I realized what was happening, I didn&#8217;t lie to myself and I took the time to invest into my future.  It can be painful; and often times it is&#8230;; no one wants to focus on what didn&#8217;t work, but you have to be objective and learn from it.  Let it go.  And improve.  Otherwise, what are you doing?  Do you really want to keep producing mediocre results?  Not me.</p>
<p>So like an onion, I peeled back the layers and found what felt right.  And I then put the steps in place to add on what I needed.</p>
<p>First, get down my passions. Second, design my routine.  Third, change my focus.  Fourth, put the people/things in my life that support &amp; inspire me.  You get it.  (this is my process, not necessarily yours.)</p>
<p>But, WOW!  Remembering to &#8216;be myself&#8217; and do what I love and what works for me &#8211; it is so much better than doing what you are &#8216;supposed&#8217; to do or what &#8216;they&#8217; tell you to do.</p>
<p>Give it a shot!  What do you have to lose?  And do it now!!</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Today&#8217;s message is short and sweet and to the point.  I have always known this, and recently through my own experiences and many of my clients/ friends experiences seen it proven over and over.</p>
<p>The shortest distance between to points, is &#8216;a straight line&#8217;</p>
<p>what I am talking about is this &#8211; there are many problems and walls to climb right now for many people; and I also know many people who have great ideas and drive to create something new.  Here is my advice to you -</p>
<p>Take time to decide who you want to be (or who you are) and stick with it!</p>
<p>If you are a real estate agent &#8211; focus on your real estate business; if you are a teacher &#8211; find opportunity within the teaching arena; if you went to school to study medicine &#8211; create possibilities in that field.</p>
<p>The people who achieve the greatest amount of success &amp; who generally get there faster do it because they know who they are, what they do and they stick with it.</p>
<p>Think about it, if every time you see a business associate, you tell them you have a new career, do they believe you are stable and a person who they can trust to do business with??? No</p>
<p>And you are putting yourself through a lot of stress to have to re-create your wheel over and over and over again.</p>
<p>Instead, find a new way to do what you are doing, with what you&#8217;ve got.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>So have you ever noticed how you tell yourself one thing and it seems that no matter how hard you try, it doesn&#8217;t turn out the way you wanted?</p>
<p>For instance; money or wealth.  You say to yourself, &#8220;I am going to be financially free this year!&#8221; or &#8220;I am going to make $10,000.00 this month!&#8221;  And you either hit a wall and give up or you make money only to lose it???</p>
<p>Wonder how you can change that?</p>
<p>It comes from the imprint of your beliefs and the culture around you.  Think about it.<br />
What did your family or your friends; your teachers or those close to you tell you when you were younger?</p>
<p>Did they say that &#8216;money doesn&#8217;t grow on trees&#8217; or &#8216;only the rich get richer&#8217; or &#8216;you have to work hard to make money and even then you have to be lucky to keep it&#8217;   OR</p>
<p>Did you family say, &#8216;you can have anything you want, all you have to do is apply yourself&#8217;</p>
<p>NOW here is the kicker&#8230;.how did they behave?  Did they follow what they said or did they &#8216;do&#8217; something different.</p>
<p>You have heard that only 7% of our communication is through words. So think of it in relation.  Only 7% of what we say influences our behaviors.  But, the other 93% is what structures who we are and become.</p>
<p>So how did the people you looked up to or modeled in your life behave?</p>
<p>Now that you understand that, look at your own behaviors and challenges and you will see where there is a &#8216;self sabotage&#8217; that happens to you at an unconscious level.</p>
<p>So when you put so much energy and effort into achieving a goal and right at the end, right before you have succeeded, you start to doubt yourself; or you quit.  The self sabotaging behavior rears its head and stops you &#8211; so that it can prove you right, based on your deep unconscious belief.</p>
<p>If you ever want to overcome these challenges and create Abundance in your life, you will have to face this lesson and learn to overcome it.</p>
<p>the good news is that is can be done and you will find a great sense of peace from the experience.</p>
<p>So, the most important thing to do, is not to punish or beat yourself up for these beliefs but acknowledge that you discovered them and allow yourself to take action to make the changes now.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>It is pretty amazing how fast paced our world has become.  As I sit here at my computer, and click from page to page or site to site, (even though the pages load at about a page per 2 seconds); and for a split second I think to myself, &#8220;come on&#8230;.&#8221;  Are we creating opportunity or chaos?</p>
<p>Knowing that you can have any information at your fingertips, anytime is a beautiful thing but only when you appreciate it.  You see, it has been proven over and over in studies that when something becomes common or familiar that we tend to lose interest in it.</p>
<p>So, is this what is happening in our society, especially with education?  The rates of students going into colleges and receiving scholarships is dropping every year; the amounts of students accepted into schools is dropping yearly, AND the amount of students that graduate and can get a job is dropping&#8230;..</p>
<p>In retrospect, there are more kids and less jobs!</p>
<p>What are we to do?</p>
<p>Are we shoving so much information at the speed of light down our throats that we have becoming numb to it.  Are we becoming so dependent on our phones and laptops that we are losing innovation or creativity for the masses and expecting it only from the chosen few; Larry Page &amp; Sergey Brin (Google), Mark Zuckerberg</p>
<p>Well, I have an idea of what to do to change it and it&#8217;s what I call simply complex &#8211; the answer is simple the process will take work.</p>
<p>I have set out on a mission to make a ripple in this trend.  And I am very excited to watch the effects happen.</p>
