Did you know more than 50% of first marriages end in divorce? And the numbers get worse from there!
Why is it that we all seek partnership and love, yet so many of us don’t understand how to give it or receive it? Many of us have been brought up in broken homes or in environments that didn’t value and teach the behavior of love. But that doesn’t mean it isn’t a vital part of your happiness and success in life. Without the tools to understand each other and the ability to communicate effectively the quality of your life will suffer.
In order for our world to change, it has to start at the heart. If you make the decision to commit to someone and you pledge your love and acceptance then act like it!
Fight for it or Against it!
It’s time to learn that you have two choices when it comes to love – you either fight for it or against it! That’s it. If you love someone then you should always be willing to listen and learn and always have the intention of improving your relationship and growing as a person. If you don’t love the person anymore, have the respect to let the other person know. Be civil. Be grateful for what you have shared. And work together to move on as friends. Just because you won’t be sharing a home and bills anymore, it doesn’t mean that now, you should speak poorly of this person or act as though you never knew each other. We aren’t 10 years old anymore.
Aspire to Better!
It’s easy to look around and find people who are unhappy in their relationships and too often we hear others speaking badly about their partners. But how does that make your problems better? How does that improve your relationship? And how is this a good example to set for our youth? You hear all these complaints about our younger generations and how they are becoming less prepared for life or they are disrespectful. It’s our job as the adults, the business owners, the leaders, the teachers to set an example of excellence; to inspire others to be enlightened individuals who focus more on creating success and innovation in our world rather than creating more problems to solve!
Over the last seventeen years I have developed a handful of techniques designed to improve your relationships and the way you communicate with yourself and others. If you find that you aren’t happy or that you are having trouble creating the happiness you desire, give me a call. I look forward to helping you create your best days yet!
