When it comes to losing weight or getting in shape most of us cringe in agony. For me, if I don’t go to the gym and work out I am a different person; disfocused, tired & less patient.
Does that ever happen to you?
I have coached A LOT of people on my strategies for staying fit. It truly starts with your mind. Not your time or your body, it’s what you are saying to yourself or thinking that is defeating you before you get the ball rolling.
So the first thing you have to do is figure out ‘Why’ it’s important for you to get in shape. And further you have to recognize whether there is anything else that is important but conflicts with this goal and can stop you!
For example: you want to get in shape really bad but you also want to hit your bonus at work. Which one do you think is going to throw a wrench in the works for the other goal? Yep! Most likely you will be burning the midnight oil and still have that extra 5 lbs at the start of next month~
So how do you ever get yourself to get in a rhythym of working out and having the body you dream of???? You have to do some personal discovery. You have to look at your lifestyle and habits and be willing to make changes that are healthy for you.
There’s a BIG difference between someone who ‘wants to change’ and someone who ‘wants to want to change’
